82DASH Company Guidelines

These guidelines explain how businesses and brands should use content collected through 82DASH.

They summarise the key responsibilities and terms from our Terms of Service.

By using content from 82DASH, your company agrees to these terms - so it’s important to review them in full.

1. Company Accounts

  • Every company must appoint an authorised representative to manage its 82DASH account.

  • The company is responsible for all actions taken through its account - including employees, contractors, or third parties using its access.

  • Keep login credentials secure and ensure proper internal use at all times.

2. Content Licence and Rights

  • When you receive content through 82DASH,
your company is granted a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free licence to use that content.

  • You may:

    • Use, reproduce, adapt, display, or distribute the content.

    • Incorporate it across marketing materials such as websites, social media, advertisements, packaging, and printed media.

  • Sublicensing to third parties (e.g. agencies, partners, affiliates) is not permitted.

  • Credit to the creator is not required unless otherwise stated.

3. Handling Content Responsibly

  • Store and manage all received content securely in line with your privacy and compliance policies.

  • Do not modify content in a way that misleads, misrepresents, or causes harm to the individuals featured.

  • Respect the dignity, likeness, and rights of all people appearing in the content.

  • Follow all data protection laws (including GDPR and CCPA) once content is transferred to you.

  • As the data controller, your company becomes responsible for lawful processing of personal data within the content.

  • Ensure all use complies with the advertising and content rules of major platforms (Meta, TikTok, Google, etc.).

  • When using creator content as testimonials or endorsements, ensure they are genuine and accurately represent real experience.

4. Disclosure and Transparency

  • If the creator has received an incentive, reward, or benefit, you must ensure clear disclosure wherever the content is published.

  • Disclosures must follow local advertising laws and the content policies of relevant platforms (e.g. FTC Endorsement Guides, ASA CAP Code).

  • 82DASH is not responsible for any failures in your company’s disclosure practices.

5. Misuse and Licence Revocation

Your licence can be revoked if content is misused. Misuse includes:

  • Using content in misleading, defamatory, or harmful ways.

  • Altering the meaning, tone, or context of the original submission.

  • Publishing false claims, deceptive marketing, or discriminatory materials.

  • Associating the content with offensive or unlawful messaging.

  • Redistributing or reselling content beyond its intended campaign.

If 82DASH determines misuse has occurred:

  • Your licence to that content will be revoked immediately.

  • You must stop all use and remove the content from every channel and format.

6. Creator Consent and Withdrawal

  • If a creator revokes consent under GDPR or similar privacy laws, and they are identifiable in the content, you must:

    • Stop using the content immediately.

    • Delete or remove it from your systems and archives.

    • Make reasonable efforts to remove it from third-party platforms.

  • While licences are normally irrevocable for commercial use, data protection laws may override those rights.

  • 82DASH will notify you if a valid withdrawal request is received - you are then responsible for legal compliance.

7. Exclusivity and Quality

  • Unless agreed otherwise, 82DASH does not guarantee exclusivity of content.

  • The same submission may appear in other campaigns.

  • Your company should review and ensure the content meets brand and compliance standards before use.

8. Reward Fulfilment

If your campaign offers rewards or incentives:

  • Honour your commitments as described in the campaign brief.

  • Deliver rewards promptly and accurately.

  • Handle any issues or disputes related to reward delivery.

9. Platform and Policy Compliance

  • Your company must ensure all content use complies with the policies of the platforms it is published on.

  • Examples include Meta’s Branded Content Policy, TikTok Ads Guidelines, and Google Ads Standards.

10. Liability and Indemnity

  • 82DASH ensures creators confirm ownership and consent but cannot verify every submission individually.

  • You are responsible for ensuring any licensed content complies with laws and advertising rules.

  • By using 82DASH, your company agrees to indemnify and hold harmless 82DASH against claims or damages arising from your use of content.

11. Moderation and Content Removal

  • 82DASH may moderate, restrict, or remove content if it is found to be unlawful, misleading, or harmful.

  • If content you’ve licensed is flagged or removed, you’ll be notified and must cease its use if required.

  • You remain responsible for ensuring compliance and brand suitability before publishing.

12. Respectful Creator Engagement

  • Always engage with creators professionally and respectfully.

  • Do not pressure creators to alter or resubmit content against their rights or our guidelines.

  • Any disputes must go through 82DASH or agreed communication channels.

  • Breaches may result in suspension or termination of platform access.
