Managing & Using Content
This section explains how to handle everything after your campaign goes live - from reviewing uploads to reusing content across your marketing. It covers how to navigate your dashboard, manage submissions and rewards, download rights-cleared content, send push notifications, and communicate effectively with creators. You’ll also find guidance on content licensing, compliance, and best practices for building trust and authenticity through real customer-generated content.
Using Your Dashboard
Your dashboard is the central hub for managing content request campaigns, tracking submissions, and monitoring rewards.
It gives you a real-time overview of all active and completed content requests, allowing you to move seamlessly from campaign setup to review and reporting.
From the dashboard, you can:
View active, scheduled, and completed content requests
Create new content requests or duplicate existing ones
Access and review submissions directly from each campaign tile
See key performance data, including uploads, participation rates, and reward redemptions
Filter by campaign, creator, or date range to find specific submissions
View notifications for new uploads, approvals, or reward activity
Navigate to Analytics, Integrations, or Settings for additional management options
Mark content requests as complete once submissions are closed
The dashboard provides a structured overview of all campaigns in progress and completed, making it easy to manage content, communication, and performance data from a single interface.
Managing Uploads & Rewards
As submissions come in, they appear in your dashboard as a stream of video and image uploads ready for use.
Each upload includes metadata such as consent confirmation, licensing status, and any form details provided by the creator.
From the dashboard, you can:
Review and tag submissions for sorting or categorisation
View form responses linked to each upload
Remove irrelevant or duplicate entries by moving them to Trash or marking as Spam
Approve and issue rewards for Reward by Selection campaigns
Monitor reward redemptions for both instant and manual rewards
Filter submissions by campaign, creator, or date to locate specific files
Send push notifications to contributors who have saved their reward to a mobile Wallet (Apple or Google)
View newsletter consent status to see which contributors have opted in to your mailing list
Complete a content request once you have finished collecting submissions
View analytics for each content request, including upload volume, engagement, and reward redemptions
Approved submissions are available for high-resolution download. Once downloaded, this content can be used across your marketing, website, or internal channels in accordance with our Terms of Service.
All actions - including approvals, deletions, reward issues, and push notifications - are automatically logged for compliance and record-keeping.
Downloading Collected Content
Once your content appears in the dashboard, it’s available to download in high resolution, complete with the rights and consent to use it safely.
You’re licensed to use, reproduce, adapt, and display this content across all major channels - including digital ads, social media, packaging, and print - provided it’s used respectfully and within licence terms.
Best practice for handling downloads:
Store content securely and limit internal access
Keep records of how and where content is used
Never alter content in ways that misrepresent the creator or context
Remove content if consent is withdrawn under GDPR
Important: In Reward by Selection campaigns, only the content that you have rewarded is licensed for use.
Unrewarded submissions remain the property of the creator and cannot be used, published, or distributed without explicit consent.
Sending Push Notifications
Push notifications let you reach contributors through their Wallet cards, keeping your brand connected long after an upload.
Use them to:
Announce new campaigns or reward updates
Promote launches, events, or sales
Encourage repeat participation and ongoing engagement
Notifications appear directly on users’ phones - a respectful, low-friction way to stay in touch with your community of real creators.
Note: Apple and Google Wallet both allow users to mute or disable push notifications, so messages may not appear for every contributor.
Using Your Collected Content
Once approved, your customer-generated content becomes ready-to-use across your marketing and communication channels.
This content - created by real people - adds authenticity and social proof to your brand storytelling.
You can use customer-generated content across:
Social media – both organic and paid campaigns (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook)
Product pages and ecommerce listings – to showcase real experiences and drive purchase confidence
Email marketing – in newsletters, announcements, and automated campaigns
Advertising – digital ads, remarketing, or out-of-home (OOH) placements
Print and packaging – inserts, catalogues, and product materials
Events and exhibitions – displays, screens, and branded installations
PR and brand communications – press kits, investor decks, or storytelling assets
Used thoughtfully and consistently, customer-generated content builds recognition, relatability, and lasting trust with your audience.
All approved and rewarded content includes the necessary usage rights and consent for marketing purposes.
For full details on licence scope, restrictions, and compliance, see Rights & Licensing Explained below.
Rights & Licensing Explained
Every upload collected through 82DASH includes a content licence granted directly by the creator to your company.
This licence is non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, and royalty-free.
You may use the content across all major marketing channels - digital, print, or physical - without requiring additional permission or credit, unless otherwise agreed.
With those rights come important responsibilities:
Use content truthfully and respectfully, preserving the creator’s dignity
Keep all metadata, usage notes, and consent records intact
Follow data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA) where personal data is involved
Disclose any material connection or reward when posting content that implies endorsement
In rare cases, if a creator withdraws consent under privacy law (e.g. GDPR), 82DASH will notify you. You must then stop using and remove the affected content.
82DASH may also revoke your licence if content is misused - for example, through misleading edits, harmful associations, or unauthorised sublicensing.
If that happens, you must immediately stop using and remove the affected content from all channels.
Handled responsibly, these rights empower your brand to market authentically - and protect the trust that makes customer-generated content so valuable.
Communicating with Creators
How you communicate with contributors determines whether they’ll share again.
Creators are partners in your storytelling, not resources. The way you interact with them directly shapes the quality and longevity of your customer-generated content community.
Tips for effective communication:
Be transparent about how their content may be used and when rewards are issued
Showcase selected creators publicly - it encourages others and builds loyalty
Stay compliant when reposting rewarded content (disclosures, tags, credits)
Be genuine - audiences can sense authenticity in tone as much as imagery
Use your dashboard tools to message, feature, or re-engage contributors.
Every touchpoint reinforces trust - and trust fuels participation.
82DASH helps you maintain this human connection at scale, ensuring your marketing stays grounded in real people, not automation.
